The Board gratefully acknowledges Mr. Chamberlin's 34 years of distinguished association with public broadcasting; his leadership, vision and unwavering dedication, which helped create public broadcasting's organizational foundation and nurture its acceptance in American popular culture; and his passion to make the arts and education accessible to un-served and underserved members of our society.
The public broadcasting enterprise has benefited greatly from his stewardship and wisdom. In recognition of his service to our mission and our nation, the CPB Board honors Mr. Chamberlin one of the great lions of public broadcasting.
