Appreciation for the Rasmuson Foundation

Six in favor, two absent

Resolved,

That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Expresses its Deep Appreciation for the Rasmuson Foundation and for its Contributions to Public Broadcasting in the State of Alaska.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting recognizes that the Rasmuson Foundation, with deep roots in Alaska and a mission of improving the lives of all Alaskans, has contributed greatly to strengthening public broadcasting in Alaska and throughout the entire country.

Working in partnership with the State of Alaska and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Rasmuson Foundation has helped public broadcasting extend its reach through the state, and allowed Alaskans to share in public broadcasting's ability to inform, educate, and inspire.

Elmer Rasmuson, the foundation's first president, noted that helping others is an Alaskan tradition. We at CPB are proud to be part of that tradition, and look forward to continuing it in the future.
