Appreciation for the Public Broadcasting Community Within Southern California

6 in favor, 2 absent

WHEREAS,

Terrible recent wildfires in southern California have caused loss of life and destruction of property on an enormous scale throughout the region; and

WHEREAS,

Public broadcasters in that region have steadfastly provided vital lifelines of information, both to the hundreds of thousands of persons whom the fires have forced to flee their homes, schools, and workplaces, and to those whose homes and businesses have been destroyed and who must now try to rebuild their lives; and

WHEREAS,

The hard-hit communities of southern California will continue to depend on their public broadcasters during the many months of recovery that lie ahead.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT
