That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting expresses its gratitude and appreciation to
Peggy O'Brien
Vice President, Education, 1995-2000
For insisting on the primacy of education among public television's missions; for fostering an environment of creative risk-taking among corporation staff, educators, and programming producers; for embracing digital technology as a means for public television to fulfill its mandate of public service; and for her role in shepherding The American Collection, Between the Lions, Ready to Learn, and the Annenberg-CPB Channel, the Board extends its warm wished to Dr. O'Brien for success in her continuing promotion of the causes she championed at CPB.
