Learning Portal Project

WHEREAS,
The Board of Directors has received a recommendation from Management on allocations from the CPB Mission and Goals Fund for Phase II of the Learning Portal Project as described in the final report prepared by Booz-Allen & Hamilton entitled "Developing An Education Portal Strategy."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Board accepts and endorses Management's recommendations to allocate $1 million from the Mission and Goals Fund for Phase II of the Learning Portal Project. During Phase II of this project, CPB's funds will secure content and technology agreements, form the organizational structure of the service, develop a methodology leading to capitalization, recruit staff, develop legislative, promotional strategies, consult with the public broadcasting system, and begin raising the capital necessary to launch the Learning Portal service.
