Condolences to the Family of Douglas F. Bodwell

RESOLVED,
That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family of
Douglas F. Bodwell
Pioneer in bringing educational programming to children and adults and innovator whose encouragement led stations to try new ways of making television useful in education.
The Board gratefully acknowledges and will long remember Mr. Bodwell's faithful service and many contributions in establishing the education office at CPB in 1974; in directing the Annenberg/CPB project from 1979 through 1983; in helping acquire funding for 22 school television series; in organizing CPB's leadership in Project Literacy U.S.; and in initiating the PBS Learning Service; "Learning Link," a computer network for stations and schools; and the satellite educational resources consortium.
