That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting expresses its deepest appreciation to
William McCarter
President and Chief Executive Officer, WTTW, Chicago, Illinois, 1971-1998
For his many contributions to WTTW's steady and deliberate growth and current prominence; for his excellence and innovation in developing quality community programming for the Chicago audience; for his distinguished leadership which made it possible for WTTW to become a leader in innovative technology and a pioneer of television stereo sound.
The Board Extends it sincere thanks to William McCarter for his years of service on behalf of public broadcasting and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
