RESOLVED,
That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting expresses its appreciation to
Sonia Landau
Chairman of the Board, 1984-1986
Vice Chairman of the Board, 1982-1983; 1984
Member of the Board, 1981-1986
For her strong leadership and untiring devotion to the mission and goals of the Corporation, always mindful of the Board's fiduciary responsibility and accountability to the Congress and the American people; for her extraordinary efforts to support and secure additional funding for programming to benefit the nation's children; for her skillful representation of the Corporation before the Congress and the Executive Branch to promote the financial needs of public broadcasting and the secure the highest level of federal support for the industry; for her dedication to the educational enhancement and training of minorities and women to enable them to move into executive positions within public broadcasting; for her representation of the Corporation on the Annenberg/CPB Project council and in various public arenas; and , for her membership in the following committees: Audit, Mission and Goals, Human Resources, Planning and Legislation, and Search.
The Board extends its sincere thanks to Ms. Landau for her years of service and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
