Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Congratulations to KCTS-TV

Unanimously

WHEREAS,

since KCTS-TV went on the air December 7, 1954, it has grown into the seventh most-watched public television station in the country;

WHEREAS,

in it's 40-year history, KCTS has created and provided indispensable information, programs, and services to involved the individual, serve diverse communities, promote learning, and lift the human spirit; and

WHEREAS,

during the past 10 years alone, KCTS productions have earned more than 150 industry awards, including two national Emmy awards, a George Foster Peabody award, and six Ohio State awards.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

that the Board offers its sincere and hearty congratulations to KCTS-TV on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.
