Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
April 12, 1994

National Campaign to Reduce Youth Violence

WHEREAS,

The Board of Directors has received a recommendation from Management for an allocation from the Mission and Goals Fund for a multi-year national public broadcasting campaign to reduce youth violence; and

WHEREAS,

This timely initiative will utilize public television and radio as a catalyst, a convener, a stimulus and a facilitator for a concentrated and collaborative effort to support those engaged in programs designed to reduce youth violence, through national and local programming, outreach, and models of local community development.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

That the Board approves an allocation of up to $200,000 from the Mission and Goals Fund for startup costs for this initiative, as described in Management's memorandum of April 7, 1994.
