Extend Minority Consortia Commitments
Unanimously
WHEREAS,
on November 14, 1989, the Board adopted a Resolution authorizing the extension of CPB's commitment to the three minority consortia then in existence, and authorizing CPB's support of the creation and development of two new consortia that would join the existing three in expanding program diversity by encouraging and increasing high-quality minority programming; and

NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,
that the Board authorizes Management to extend its current commitments to the existing Latino, Asian-American and Native-American consortia, as well as its commitments to the new African-American and Pacific Islander consortia, on an annual basis beginning in 1992, and, from time-to-time when Management believes it necessary and prudent, to conduct open competitions for any or all of the five minority consortia, in accordance with the attached memorandum from Eugene Katt dated September 4, 1991; and that this Resolution expressly replaces and supersedes the Resolution of the Board dated November 14, 1989.
