FY 1996 Ready To Learn Initiative Funding

WHEREAS,
The Board of Directors has received a recommendation from Management on allocations from the CPB Mission and Goals Fund for the Ready To Learn Initiative to compensate for the anticipated loss of $1,050,000 from the FY 1996 Federal Appropriation. This level of funding will bring the Ready To Learn Initiative to $7,000,000 for FY 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Board accepts and endorses Management's recommendations to allocate $1,050,000 from the Mission and Goals Fund for the Ready To Learn Initiative to continue CPB's support in expanding the availability of educational and instructional video programming and supporting educational resources for preschool and elementary school children and their parents.
