Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

American Program Service Program Investment Fund

WHEREAS,

The Board of Directors has received a recommendation from Management for an allocation from the Mission and Goals Fund for an initiative to benefit public broadcasting that was not included in the current year operating budget; and

WHEREAS,

The recommendation has been reviewed and approved by the Board's Finance Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

That the Board approves an allocation from the Mission and Goals Fund for up to $1 million for the American Program Service Program Investment Fund. This amount must be matched by the public television stations before the CPB funds are released and must be repaid over a five-year period starting three years after this CPB investment, according to the terms described in Management's memo of March 23, 1993, attached.
