Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Community-wide Information Services Initiative

WHEREAS,
The Board of Directors has received a recommendation from Management for an allocation from the Mission and Goals Fund for an initiative to benefit public broadcasting that was not included in the current year operating budget; and
WHEREAS,
This initiative will allow CPB to assist public broadcasters in their local communities to position themselves as telecommunications service providers in the new computer network environment; and
WHEREAS,
This recommendation has been reviewed and approved by the Board's Finance Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
That the Board approves an allocation of $900,000 from the Mission and Goals Fund for a Community-wide Information Services Initiative, consistent with the attached document reflecting the Board's objectives for this project.
