The Board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting recognizes the extraordinary contributions of Wayne Godwin, a creative, dynamic, admired and respected leader of the public broadcast community.
In his four decades in public broadcasting, Mr. Godwin has had great success in both programming development and member services. In addition, in his service on several CPB Community Service Grant committees, he was instrumental in forming grant policy.
Throughout his long and distinguished career, Mr. Godwin has been an energetic, engaging advocate for public broadcasting, known for his wit and his wisdom, his ability to bring people together, his gift for diplomacy and his wide-ranging talents. He has brought honor and distinction to the positions he has held and the organizations he has served.
We, the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, are profoundly grateful for the work, leadership, commitment, and dedication of Wayne Godwin, who helped shaped public broadcasting.
