The Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting recognizes Cheryl F. Halpern's extraordinary record of public service in broadcasting.

Throughout her career, Cheryl Halpern has been a champion of educational programs and a leader of national and international broadcasting organizations. Her commitment to fighting prejudice, intolerance and injustice is matched by her dedication to advancing programs that educate, enlighten and inspire.

During her years of distinguished service on the CPB board, Cheryl Halpern has promoted a culture of continuous improvement. She has broadened our horizons by calling for meetings at stations around the country and reconnected us with the communities we serve.
