Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

2009 Supplemental Appropriations
Unanimously
WHEREAS,
CPB management, in consultation with representatives from the public broadcasting system, has developed a request for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congress for supplemental appropriations to address revenue declines for public television and radio stations in FY 2009; and
WHEREAS,
The Board of Directors has been briefed on the CPB's proposed request and this request has been informed by consultation with public broadcasting system members to ensure that a broad spectrum of public broadcasting needs for providing service to the American public was considered;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
The Board of Directors authorizes CPB management to submit CPB's supplemental appropriations request to OMB.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,
The CPB Board directs management expeditiously submit a plan to the Board outlining the funding priorities for the supplemental appropriation, after consultation with the system and OMB.
