That the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Expresses its Heartfelt Condolences to the Family of
Winter D. Horton, Jr.
Member, CPB Board of Directors, 1998-2002
The board will long remember Mr. Horton’s years of service on the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Mr. Horton brought to public broadcasting his passion for public service, his dedication, and a clear vision for public broadcasting’s place in American culture.
Under Mr. Horton’s leadership, CPB reaffirmed the value of educational programming and noncommercial integrity of public broadcasting; advancing our public service mission to the benefit of our nation.
The board extends its deepest sympathies to the Horton family.
