That the Board of Directors of the
Corporation for Public Broadcasting
Expresses Its Deep Appreciation
for the Contributions of
Richard "Dick" Lobo
President and Chief Executive Officer of
WEDU, Tampa/St. Petersburg, 2002-2010
The Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting recognizes Mr. Lobo's extraordinary record of service in public broadcasting.
Mr. Lobo has been a leader, innovator, and visionary force. Under his leadership, WEDU successfully transitioned into the digital age, strengthened the values of diversity and inclusivity in its programming and services, and grew as a vital community institution.
Mr. Lobo has led WEDU to create award-winning documentaries and local affairs programming, such as A Gulf Coast Journal with Jack Perkins and The Florida Dream. During his tenure, WEDU has received 34 Emmy nominations and 13 awards.
The Board of Directors is grateful for the leadership, commitment, and service of Dick Lobo and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
