Chairman, Public Awareness Initiative Committee, 2005-2007
Chairman, Digital Media Committee, 2007-2009
The Board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting recognizes the extraordinary contributions of Ernest Wilson.
During his long and distinguished tenure on the CPB Board, Ernest Wilson became the founding chairman of the Digital Media Committee and the Public Awareness Initiative Committee. He worked tirelessly to promote the innovative use of digital technology and to encourage public media to engage in new ways with viewers and listeners.
Through his vision for all that public media can accomplish, he deepened our understanding of the importance of diversity in every respect and furthered CPB's mission to the benefit of our nation.
We mark the end of his service on the Board of Directors with respect, admiration, and gratitude.
