Independent Television Service
- FY 2010 Report 1.6MB
One of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's key goals is to expand diversity and innovation in programming available to local stations. With a mandate from Congress, CPB has funded the Independent Television Service (ITVS) since 1990 as a bridge between the viewing public, independent producers and the public television system. Through grants, ITVS encourages production of a wide range of innovative programming that draws upon the wellspring of talent existing all across America. Its services extend beyond production to marketing, promotion and audience outreach.
