A multimedia project designed to help children succeed in math, this daily, animated television series targets children aged 3 to 6 as well as their parents, teacher, and caregivers. Drawing on recent research in early math education, it harnesses public television, the Web, and grassroots outreach to help better prepare children for school. In this R&D phase, WGBH created an animated pilot, including interstitial material and songs. CPB may buy an option on the property, with a requirement for a proposal on which CPB could make a subsequent, separate decision whether to fund full production.
