Corporation for Public Broadcasting Fiscal Year 2009

This project supports additional Nature programming within the Framework for a Public Television Primetime Strategy, which is to strengthen the core program series of the National Program Service. This amendment covers the third year of a three-year strategic plan to: increase original programs, particularly event programming; create an updated “encore” library of relicensed and repackaged shows with celebrity hosts; reinforce the relationships between the show, local stations, and their members; tie the show into local fundraising strategies; launch a capital campaign and expand corporate underwriters; strengthen the show’s brand; and develop a campaign for outreach to educators and students, including a redesigned and rebranded Web site.
