Corporation for Public Broadcasting Fiscal Year 2009

Intended for PBS distribution, this multiplatform project attempts to improve the environmental and scientific literacy of children aged 8 to 11 through storytelling across multiple platforms. This grant covers Phase 1, the production and launch of four two-minute Flash movies and a supporting Web site. Each short will teach a specific sustainability concept through scripted animation and music. (Phase 2 media will be a comedic, animated television show featuring game-playing, humor, and drama as well as a Web site, outreach campaign, media for mobile platforms, and possibly an online alternate reality game.)
