This one-year initiative addresses the impact of the economic crisis on Latinos, including: (1) production and broadcast of national Spanish-language coverage of the economy, with an emphasis on Latinos in crisis; (2) an interactive radio, Web, and community engagement campaign on the impact of widespread unemployment on Latinos, including information on how to access benefits, job retraining, and other employment-related services in selected areas of California; and (3) continuation of core services provided by six Latino community radio stations in California.
