This film tells the story of Native Hawaiians who live off the sea. For centuries, Hawaiians sustained an abundant fish supply by taking only what they needed. In the past decade, however, Hawai’i’s fisheries and the world’s fishing stocks have collapsed. This film seeks to discover why the fish are disappearing and to explore how the wisdom of the natives of Hawai’i can help protect and restore marine resources.
