The Kojo Nnamdi Show, a live weekday two-hour magazine program, highlights news, political issues, and social trends. The Friday edition of the show includes “Politics Hour,” which focuses on politics in the District, Maryland, and Virginia.
WHUT’s Evening Exchange features one-on-one interviews with writers, philosophers, and news makers whose works offer insights into the black community.
WPFW’s local public affairs programming encompasses discussion programs on economic, political, and social issues, including Metro Watch, hosted by the station’s public affairs director, Gloria Minott. The half-hour show at 9:30 a.m. every weekday features guests as varied as nationally syndicated conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer and the late social activist and playwright Howard Zinn.
