Public Media in Your State
Idaho
Since 1983, Outdoor Idaho on Idaho Public Television has celebrated the state’s incredible richness. Shot entirely on location, the program explores the beauty, the drama, and the science of nature while examining the significant environmental and resource issues facing the intermountain West. With approximately 240 programs produced to date, Outdoor Idaho has won hundreds of national and regional awards, making it the most honored half-hour program in the West.
Idaho Public Television’s Dialogue is the state’s only statewide call-in program. The public affairs show airs Thursday evenings and covers issues of importance to Idahoans.
KBSU-FM in Boise produces Edible Idaho, a six-month series that airs Friday mornings during Morning Edition. The program features reports on what’s available at the Capital City Public Market and specific gardening tips for Treasure Valley conditions, including the best vegetables to plant, composting, and organic and sustainable practices.
