Currently broadcast throughout Kansas, KTWU’s Sunflower Journeys series illustrates various aspects of the past, present, and future of the Sunflower State. Bolstered by the ongoing support of the Kansas Humanities Council, the series draws upon the expertise of local scholars to provide thoughtful explorations of the state and its social, cultural, and natural resources.
On High Plains Public Radio in Garden City, Skip Mancini hosts the weekly Growing on the High Plains program on gardening in the High Plains region. The program airs Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. during High Plains Morning and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. during Weekend Edition.
Recorded at venues throughout the Kansas Public Radio listening area, KPR Presents features a variety of speeches, lectures, panel discussions, and community forums on timely and topical issues. Recently featured speakers include former President Bill Clinton, syndicated columnist Leonard Pitts, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The program airs Sundays from 8 to 9 p.m.
