This grantee annually produces two live concert programs broadcast nationally from the lawn of the U.S. Capitol. This grant will provide funds for both 2010 concerts to cover specific production items and a portion of PBS station promotion spot production costs. The 2010 Memorial Day Concert will include a tribute to Korean War veterans on its 60th anniversary, U.S. military cemeteries on foreign soils, and members of the U.S. armed forces in the war in Afghanistan. The 2010 Fourth of July concert will feature the National Symphony Orchestra and a diverse roster of performers.
