Maryland Public Television (MPT) will develop a bundle of portable digital learning objects that explore how human activities affect climate change and how climate change affects the biosphere. MPT will also create teacher materials that incorporate these assets in a storyline focused on present-day investigations into these topics. MPT will also produce interactives, animations, slideshows, audio podcasts, video, text, a teacher’s guide and a blog with audio narration. The content, which specifically supports middle school earth sciences curricula for grades four through eight, will be distributed through station education portals as well as through PBS’s proposed Digital Learning Library (formerly EDCAR).
