Fronteras: The Changing America Desk will be a Local Journalism Center formed by KJZZ, Phoenix, AZ; KPBS, San Diego, CA; KNPR, Reno, NV; Arizona Public Media; KNAU, Flagstaff, AZ; Texas Public Radio, and KRWG, Las Cruces, NM, to create multimedia, multiplatform content on the cultural and demographic shifts that are transforming the Southwest. KPBS will provide digital media training, and KJZZ will serve as the editorial lead station. The stations will develop a multicultural, bilingual reporting team that will set the news agenda for the region, developing community partnerships necessary to explore issues facing a changing America.
