In 1975 rural Texas, a mayor’s daughter grapples with an unplanned pregnancy—finally deciding to have her baby in secret before giving her away in a hidden adoption. Twenty-three years later, the adopted child also has an unplanned baby out of wedlock. This film will tell the intimate story of this second-generation single mother and her own struggle with the idea of family.
