This film will document the story behind the final weeks of rehearsal for the Young@Heart Chorus in Northampton, Massachusetts, whose members’ average age is 81. Their music, however, goes against the stereotype of their age group. Their songbook includes James Brown and Sonic Youth. Although they have toured Europe and sung for royalty, this account will focus on preparing new songs—not an easy endeavor since many members must overcome health adversities to participate—for a concert in their hometown, which succeeds in spite of several heart-breaking events.
