$450,000

Native America Calling (NAC) and National Native News (NNN) are carried by nearly every Native radio station in the country as well as several urban, non-Native radio stations. Much as NPR’s flagship programs provide a comprehensive news and culture overview for the nation at large, NAC and NNN give voice to communities and individuals who are underrepresented in the media mainstream. They are also lynchpin programs of NV1, the Native-produced and -focused program service. This one-year grant will allow continued production of the broadcasts and online content and will support efforts to expand carriage and revenue.
