Sesame Workshop will develop The Electric Company (TEC) content into an organized learning program with three main components: a digital literacy resource, lesson plans that integrate TEC multimedia content, and a professional development video for teachers. This program will target low-performing schools to help struggling students become proficient readers. This new content will be delivered mainly through interactive whiteboards and online. Sesame Workshop will implement a pilot of this new program to approximately 500 2nd-grade students and their classroom teachers in three sites. These communities include two targeted RTL markets in which The Electric Company is currently engaged, as well as one additional new market.
