CPB Ready To Learn (RTL) Statewide Planning Agreements fund public broadcasting stations to work with state education agencies to assess, align, and integrate research-tested and curriculum-based RTL products and services into early childhood education. Georgia Public Broadcasting will integrate RTL resources into an existing comprehensive framework of public broadcasting services that promote literacy through Project AIM: Adding Interactive Media to Early Childhood Education. GPB will work with Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, the Georgia Department of Education, and Georgia State University. Together, CPB and the U.S. Department of Education have financed the creation of numerous high-quality digital media through the RTL Initiative. RTL products and services—which include content from six public television series designed to support the reading skills of children aged 2 to 8, with a special emphasis on reaching children from low-income families—provide critical support to young children, parents, teachers, childcare providers, and community facilities.
