Before Kent State, there was the Orangeburg massacre. In 1968, police opened fire on the campus of South Carolina State University, leaving three young unarmed African American men dead and 27 wounded—the majority with bullets in their backs. Unlike a similar incident at Kent State, there was no national outrage or headlines or official investigation. This film will investigate the continued cover-up of the tragedy and follow ongoing efforts to seek justice.
