The Moth Radio Hour is a storytelling phenomenon. Its pilot series aired on more than 200 public radio stations, and its podcast surpasses 1 million downloads per month. Both feature first-person stories recorded live at The Moth’s ongoing storytelling shows across the country. The Moth, a nonprofit based in New York City, has been producing highly acclaimed storytelling shows featuring a diversity of voices since 1997. The Moth Radio Hour will work in partnership with PRX to distribute its shows. The project includes a local engagement strategy with live performances in partnership with stations and a robust Web service that invites user participation.
