The Chitimacha Indians of the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana are known as the people of the many waters. This documentary film project emphasizes that there are different means of knowing and remembering—and they are not mutually exclusive. The small Chitimacha Indian Tribe will offer viewers an alternative way of recalling Native American history.
