This grant will fund the development of an immersive literacy science fiction experience for kids (age 8) called RU There that includes a music video and comic books in both print and online versions. In partnership with national organizations, the Learning Box will also implement a distribution partnership with national organizations targeted to reach Ready To Learn (RTL) audiences in RTL target markets. This project supports the development of literacy, vocabulary acquisition, and reading comprehension across multiple platforms including television, comic books, online games, and Web sites. The Learning Box will pilot new media content as part of its community engagement strategy.
