This grant will fund a professional development conference that complements the SilverDocs Festival, which attracts more than 15,000 participants from around the world, among them independent filmmakers, industry and public media executives, national organizations, and the media. The conference will offer training for those interested in working in the public media system. Additionally, the award will support the conference as a venue for professional development training for public television producers and independent filmmakers.
