Four New York state public television stations—WXXI, Rochester; WMHT, Schenectady; WNED, Buffalo; and WSKG, Binghamton—and public radio station WRVO, Oswego will form the Innovation Trail Local Journalism Center, a multimedia journalism initiative to address the challenges of upstate New York’s emerging innovation economy. Through resource and content sharing, inventive reporting, and social media tools, the center will move beyond traditional journalism to inform and engage the community in understanding the transformation of the region’s economy.
