KUEN will produce 20 short digital videos, align 1,000 podcasts and library resources, and assist teachers through statewide professional development provided through workshops and a project Web site. Project results will be evaluated and reported to KUEN’s public media colleagues. This project expands upon KUEN’s Water Wise Utah project funded by the Partnership for a Nation of Learners initiative of CPB and the Institute for Museum and Library Services. In partnerships with leading science, conservation, and education organizations, KUEN created and serves as managing partner to the Utah Climate Literacy Partnership. KUEN will continue to sustain the resources after the grant. This grant supports middle school earth sciences curricula for grades four through eight, and its content will be distributed through station education portals as well as through PBS’s proposed Digital Learning Library (formerly EDCAR).
