The Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources and Sustainability Team (ERNeST) LJC

Oregon Public Broadcasting leads a consortium of stations in the Pacific Northwest to create the Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources and Sustainability Team (ERNeST). This local journalism center will strengthen the stations’ capacity to cover environmental policy stories in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Using broadcast and interactive platforms, the center’s activities include daily news coverage, investigative reporting and community engagement. Content is distributed on a main project website as well as through regional and national platforms, including partner station broadcasts, OPB’s Project Argo site, KQED’s Quest and the Northwest News Network. Partner stations are KCTS-TV/Seattle; KUOW-FM/Seattle; Northwest Public Radio/Pullman, Washington (and affiliated television stations KWSU-TV and KTNW-TV); Boise State Radio; Idaho Public Television; and Southern Oregon Public Television.
