This one-year grant will allow Native Voice One (NV1), which provides reliable, affordable, and sustainable 24/7 national radio program distribution services to Native American public radio stations, program producers and others with an interest in providing such programming, to enhance and improve its services for the Native radio system. NV1 will increase the number of its affiliates, increase the number and carriage of the programs it distributes, and enhance its service to producers. NV1 will continue to program NV1’s stream as an Internet “radio station” to appeal more broadly to audiences outside of terrestrial Native radio station coverage areas.
