The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor Honoring Tina Fey

The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor is an annual 90-minute awards show for leaders in the field of comedy. A special honoring Tina Fey was taped November 9, 2010, for a national primetime broadcast on November 14. Past honorees have included Carl Reiner, Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Newhart, Lily Tomlin, Lorne Michaels, Steve Martin, Neil Simon, Billy Crystal, the late George Carlin and Bill Cosby. The show was supported before and after broadcast by an interactive website with a comment tool, a video section with Web-exclusive content, including film of rehearsals and talent interviews, and streaming clips from the show. The show was available online on PBS.org the morning after broadcast. In addition, WETA pushed content on YouTube and Facebook, and used Google AdWords to promote tune-in.
