Alice Walker: Beauty in Truth

This film tells the story of an extraordinary woman who has been defined as a key international writer of the 20th century. Alice Walker made history as the first African American woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for Literature in 1983 for her novel The Color Purple, one of the few literary books to capture the popular imagination and leave a permanent imprint.
