An in-depth look at Sissy Bounce, the underground black musical and cultural phenomenon out of New Orleans, where queer culture meets hip hop. Through interviews with people who answer to names such as Katey Red, Big Freedia and Sissy Nobby, the documentary explores the intersection of underground music, sexuality and race. It also examines how this vibrant and growing music style has had a role in restoring pride and excitement among disadvantaged queer African American youth in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
