Every day hundreds of women are raped and sexually assaulted—not on the streets, in their homes or on college campuses, but in the U.S. military. These servicewomen, who have pledged their lives to protect their country, are being attacked by their fellow soldiers, commanders and officers—the very men whose job it is to protect them. Today, a female soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than to be killed or injured by enemy fire. Military sexual assault is the most underreported crime in the U.S., and the Pentagon is doing very little to stop it, ensuring that this fact remains invisible. This documentary relates the experiences of some survivors with the courage to come forward, tell their stories and let others into their lives.
